ATTENTION

PARENTS & STUDENTS

** Procedure all parents and students should follow regarding inclement weather days. PLEASE REVIEW AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS BELOW REGARDING SCHOOL CLOSINGS AND DELAYED OPENINGS.

Please tune in to one of the local radio stations and listen for your sending public school district as well as for Monsignor Donovan High School. Busing for your student is provided by your PUBLIC SENDING SCHOOL DISTRICT.

The transportation coordinators for the public districts, along with the police departments determine whether the roads in that district are safe to travel. Students whose public sending school district is closed when Monsignor Donovan is open, are excused for that day. If there is a delayed opening in any of the public school districts, please follow that districts instructions as to when buses will arrive for your student.  You MUST follow your public sending school district with regard to busing. Some districts transport on a 90 minute delay and some districts transport on a 2 hour delay. Because of that, classes at Monsignor Donovan begin at 10:00 am on late opening days.

You may also log in to www.wobm.com.  Click on to “stormwatch” and then you will be able to click on to your local school district as well as to Monsignor Donovan to determine the status of your local schools with regard to busing and Monsignor Donovan.  Because Monsignor Donovan High School has over 11 sending school districts from all over Ocean County, there are many times when our schedule will differ from your public sending school district.

The Monsignor Donovan Web Page will only announce the status of Monsignor Donovan High School.  It DOES NOT announce our sending school districts – PLEASE LISTEN TO THE RADIO OR LOG ON TO WOBM TO DETERMINE THE STATUS OF YOUR SENDING SCHOOL DISTRICT’S TRANSPORTATION SITUATION.
