Dear Parent:

For years, students have told us that they neglect to read the summer assignments because they are “so boring.” To encourage reading for leisure, as well as, to enhance reading skills, we have added a contemporary work of their choosing on some levels. Recognizing that not all contemporary works are appropriate for students, we enlist your assistance. Please work with your child to select an appropriate contemporary literary work. Consider reading it also to generate critical thinking discussion at home.
