Mr. Vanore graduated from Monsignor Donovan in 1978 when our school was named St. Joseph High School. He played football and was a member of student council, NHS, and the Thespian Society. In his Junior year M team under the leadership of then Head Coach Dennis Toddings. Mr. Vanore’s entire acting career consisted of portraying the character, Stewpot, in the 1978 spring production of South Pacific. He attended Bryant College in Smithfield, RI where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He later earned a Masters in Business Administration from Monmouth College, which we now know Before joining the faculty of MDHS in 1997 as a teacher in the business department, guidance counselor, recruiter, and alumni public relations person, Mr. Vanore worked in the corporate world for 15 years. As a general manager and consultant for Allstate and Prudential Insurance Companies, Seagate Associates, and Lee Hecht Harrison, Inc., he specialized in operations, customer service, human resources and corporate training. He was promoted to Guidance Director in 2003. forward to the days when they will walk the halls of their dad’s alma mater. Mr. Vanore’s hobbies include coaching little league baseball, cooking, playing softball, enjoying the outdoors, and attending as many Bruce Springsteen concerts as possible.
Mr. Vanore serves as Director of the Guidance Department and is guidance counselor for students whose last names begin with the letters K, O and P. Besides providing guidance services to those students, Mr. Vanore coordinates our career counseling programs and is the military liaison. He also serves the school as
