Twelve MDHS students (along with 15 alumni) accompanied Mrs. Milana, Mrs. D’Anton, Mrs. Gill, Mrs. Kinloch and Mrs. Maroukis to the Dominican Republic this summer as part of Jersey Goes (Group of Extraordinary Students.) They spent a total of ten days building three houses for the Village Mountain Mission group. They dug foundations, built and hung new doors and windows, put on roofs and installed concrete floors. They purchased a new box spring and mattress, dishes, glasses, and silverware for each family. The group put their faith into action by working extremely hard and long in an unbelievably hot and buggy climate for people who so desperately needed their help.
