Mrs. Antonia Bartlett (Latin, Italian)

Congratulations to Mrs. Bartlett who is a published author in her homeland Italy.  Her poem, “Emozioni” was published in a regional magazine, “La Terra Del Tartufo,” a publication on cultural, historical, and promotional news about the Valley of the Rivers Sele-Tanagro and her hometown, Contursi Terme.  Her poem expresses her emotions on the beauty of the valley and the natural environment – “un paradise terrestre (a Garden of Eden)” that surround the banks of the rivers.

Mrs. Dawn Watson (Main Office Secretary)

Congratulations to Mrs. Watson who is a first time grandmother.   Her daughter Rachel Watson Frascella ’03 gave birth to a baby girl, Addison Marie on August 25.

Mrs. Donna Milana (Physical Education)

Mrs. JoAnn D’Anton (Media Arts/MDTV)

Mrs. Susan Gill, RN (Health Office)

Mrs. Madeline Kinloch (Physical Education)

Mrs. Milana, Mrs. D’Anton, Mrs. Gill, and Mrs. Kinloch along with 21 students and 28 alumni spent eighteen days in the Dominican Republic, building three houses for the Village Mountain Mission group.  They dug foundations, built and hung new doors and windows, put on roofs and installed concrete floors.  They purchased a new box spring and mattress, dishes, glasses, and silverware for each family.  They put their faith into action by working extremely hard and long in an unbelievably hot and buggy climate for people who so desperately needed their help.
